Terms & Conditions
All clients must agree to the Terms & Conditions of boarding their animals with Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels as outlined below.
General Boarding Conditions
I understand that while every care will be given to my animal(s), they are boarded entirely at my own risk.
I acknowledge that it is the policy of Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery to allow the animals under its care to exercise outside their kennels and within common exercise areas along with other animals of compatible nature. I consent to my animal(s) being exercised and indemnify Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery against any suit or claim arising from any loss or injury to my animal(s) whilst being so exercised.
I acknowledge that I have read and understood and am bound by the conditions of boarding as stated below.
1. The client guarantees that their animal(s) has up to date vaccinations covering the animal’s entire planned stay at Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery.
2. All boarding prices are charged on a calendar day basis and the full period booked will be charged for and paid.
3. If animal(s) has fleas or is dirty on arrival, a hydrobath will be given and charged for without notice.
4. All medications must be in original packaging accompanied by Vet instructional label.
5. All prices are subject to change without notice.
6. Client agrees to pay all costs and charges not later than the day of arrival and admittance of the animal(s) to Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery and any additional charges incurred by my animal(s) must be paid when I collect my animal(s) from Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery.
7. Client agrees to pay all costs and charges for special services requested and all veterinarian costs for their animal(s) during the time the said animal(s) are in the care of Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery.
8. Client agrees to arrive on time for their appointment to deliver and/or collect their animal(s). The client agrees to telephone Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery on 02 6368 3226 prior to their appointment time to advise if they are going to be early or later than a fifteen (15) minute allowance. If no such notice is given by the client then an Appointment Re-schedule Fee of $30.00 will be applied and will be payable by the client prior to their animal’s departure.
9. Under no circumstances will Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery, or any of its employees or agents, be held responsible for any items lost, destroyed or left behind on these premises such as toys, bedding, collars, etc.
10. Under no circumstances will Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery, or any of its employees or agents, be responsible for Paralysis Tick, Canine Influenza, Cat Flu, injury, sickness, death, loss or damage of any kind whatsoever that may occur to any animal staying at Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery.
11. The client has inspected the kennels and exercise areas of Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery and deem them to be safe and secure for their animal(s). However, if the animal(s) escapes from the premises/property, under no circumstances will Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery, or any of its employees or agents, be held responsible or liable for any loss, death or damage of any kind whatsoever.
12. If all charges are not paid, Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery has the right to offer the animal(s) for sale. If such sale does not secure a price adequate to cover the cost of the debt, the client is liable to Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery for the difference. Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery may take this course of action if not advised of a date to collect the animal(s) within two weeks of the advised dates.
13. By signing these conditions and leaving the animal(s) with Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery, the client certifies to the accuracy of all information given about the animal(s).
14. The client acknowledges that the signing of this contract shall create a lien over the animal(s) in favour of Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery. This lien will exist for so long as moneys are owing pursuant to this contract.
15. The client agrees to give permission to Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery to allow personal information regarding the client and animal(s) to be given or received from a duly licenced veterinarian.
16. The client agrees to be solely responsible for the behaviour of their animal(s) while their animal(s) are in the care of Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery.
17. The client acknowledges that if their animal(s) are found to be dirty or has fleas or requires grooming on arrival, then Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery will make all reasonable effort to contact the client. If no contact can be made, then Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery will commence to rectify the issue and charges will apply, which the client will be responsible for and required to pay.
18. Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery has the right to refuse admission of any animal and no reason given.
19. All prices, fees & charges must be paid for and settled at or prior to the animal(s) departure from Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery.
20. The client accepts that no claims for refunds or credits will be allowed or entered into.
Vet Treatment
Should your animal(s) require vet treatment during their stay at Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery, we will try to contact you on the contact numbers that you provided. It is your responsibility to leave us with correct and current contact numbers.
Should we be unable to contact you, we will make the decision in the best interest for the animal(s), acting within the terms of the boarding contract.
The animal(s) will be taken to the vet of our choice unless told and noted by the client on the boarding contract to take to a specific vet.
All vet bills/accounts will be required to be paid for by the animal’s owner as per the contract of boarding.
Should your animal(s) be taken to a vet of our choice a fee will be charged for transport and time spent at the vets. (Eg: From $40 for transport, plus labour and vehicle sterilisation if needed. After hours or Public Holidays will incur a surcharge).
Should you request to have your animal(s) taken to a vet of your choice for treatment, we will charge a cost for transport (cost depends on vet location and time spent at the vets).
It is at the discretion of Barkers Boutique Boarding Kennels & Cattery to have the vet come to the kennels to treat the animal(s) and vet travel is to be paid by the animal’s owner as per boarding contract.
